Supersized jumps

JUMP² was developed as a customised attraction for Canada‘s Wonderland in Toronto. With its huge visual impact the iconic attraction creates a striking landmark and a major draw for visitors. A unique ride pattern guarantees outstanding, high thrill ride experiences.

The ride is composed of a central tower incorporating a rotating section at the top. At a height of approx. 12m, six 10.8m arms are mounted on this section, which rotates at 7rpm. The tower accommodates a hydraulic launch system with a huge hydraulic actuator driving an umbrella-like mechanism which lifts all the arms concurrently within an accelerated movement. Each arm carries a gondola with eight seats which counter-rotates at 20rpm. In addition, these gondolas are connected to the arms by a rotation joint, allowing them to swing in and out and passengers are lifted up to a maximum height of 18m during the ride.
